Kaaaay, it's been a while. I was floating around, from my uncle's place to the new house to the inn we're staying at while we fix the house to make it liveable. So not much time for the internet. But I'm at skool now, so I can! Yay. And actually I have some homework still left to do, but I already started this so I'll finish it.
On Friday my family and I passed by Jeff's college. Initally I was just gonna see him for 10-15 minutes, but after dinner we decided we could let him join us for the weekend, instead of having him to take the bus to Springfield on Monday and we'd pick him up there and proceed to skool so I could move in. So Saturday was a big (not so big, because a lot of people couldn't make it?) reunion on my mum's side for my grandma's birthday, my little cousin's birthday (he looks like a mini version of his older brother, who wasn't there because he already left for Johns Hopkins, the mad smart boy), and my family's coming back to the US. On Sunday we planned to go to NYC to see my dad's brother and his family, but my parents decided not to 'cos they needed to get back to the house on Monday to keep fixing stuff so they could move in and not have to pay to stay more days at the hotel, so we went up to skool Sunday. I forgot a lot of stuff I needed... so yay for my very nice uncle who brought up the stuff later in the week.
Anyway, it was nice to see everyone again and it was kinda boring and then classes started on Thursday. BAM! Hit with insane amounts of homework. 2 31 page packets of reading for Asian/Pacific/American History (the prof is filipino!!! and finally a class that talks about the filipinos and vietnamese and all the other Asian peeps that are overlooked instead of just the Chinese and Japanese!!!1), 2 page close-reading essay due 5 P.M. Friday for English, 32 bajillion pages and 5 problems for Orgo, and presentation for Japanese to talk about one thing about our summer (I forgot pretty much all my vocab and grammar over the summer.. the only thing I looked over was my kanji).
But OMG! I'm taking horseback riding!!! It's sooo fun. Oh, I must tell about Saturday. In a second. First we had to go through all the paperwork.. no sueing the college if you fall off the horse, etc., and then we got to ride them for a little bit (a student helped all of us, and Caroline was such a sweetie) and I rode Cricket who's this adorable horse. He's actually smaller than the other horses so he has a weight limit of 135 lbs.... so ha ha, I rode him. =D
So yes, aside from massive amounts of insane homework, on Friday we (the 6 of us + Sandeep + Brenda) went to celebrate Penny's and Brenda's birthday. But we had to wait until like 9 for Brenda, and then when we finally left it was already 10. So we went to NoHo for dinner at the yummy Japanese restaurant and I shared Lucy's chicken 'cos it was big and I wasn't too hungry (I had eaten dinner already) and I got red bean ice cream because I was craving ice cream (had been for about 2 weeks) and red bean ice cream is just soo yummy. Soooo, we dropped Penny and Deer off back at skool and then we went to sigep frat party at UMASS because Antima really really wanted to go and she was glad that we were finally going with her, but when we got there it was already full so we didn't get to go inside. Which I'm kinda glad of because I'd choke from all the smoke and cringe at the smell of alcohol and drunk people in a small space. At first, we (we = Sandeep and Antima) couldn't find the place, so we asked some people, and this one girl (a guy had his arm around her to keep her from falling over) asked "where am I going?" ... man, why do people get drunk off their ass? Is it really that much fun? :/
Oh, tangent. We (we now = Antima, Lee, Lucy, and me) were dropping Penny off at Amherst on Tuesday or Wednesday for a class she wanted to get into (ended up not getting into, because she didn't get picked in the lottery and we're glad because the prof was having the students read the book he wrote and he was stupid in not letting Penny have priority because she's from another school (we MoHo's try to accomodate those from the other colleges). But anyway, it was sooo funny dropping her off, because we drove through the campus with people walking around everywhere, but they're so STUPID they walk in front of a moving vehicle or they CAN'T TELL a moving vehicle is behind them or they SEE a moving vehicle COME AT THEM and they just stare. And everyone was dressed like they were out of an Abercrombie and Fitch commercial... geeh! Penny said everyone in the class was snobby, and this one guy had the high school competitive "I'm gonna get into this class and you're not! Hah!" thing about him. I <3 my MHC.
AND SATURDAY. My uncle came up again (hooray, I <3 him!) and we (we = Lucy, uncle, me) went to a tack shop so I could get riding pants and boots (they ended up being expensive, like $90 for the pants and $140 for the boots, but they're very, very nice and should last a long while, didn't find any gloves, but it's not cold yet) and the lady in the shop was a very chatty woman. She thought that Lucy was my mum and my uncle was my dad (2nd time someone thought Lucy was my mum, she just has that motherly aura about here, and it doesn't help I look 14, ha ha ha!!!!!), so she was telling Lucy how she should wash my pants (lolz, the look on Lucy's face was priceless) and then Lucy came with me into the dressing room to get away from the chatty lady, but my uncle was left with her chattiness, so while she was talking to him he was trying to find something to distract him... and so he looked at her hair and later he commented to us that it looked like a wig and that maybe she was orthodox jew but then why would an orthodox jew be running around with horses? And then while paying for the stuff my uncle found the whips (uh, dunno if there's a horse term for it? maybe not) and was like, "oooh, you (you = me) should get this for Jeff!" And inside my head I was like, "O_O OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE MY UNCLE JUST SAID THAT!" (yes, in caps)
And that was pretty much the weekend. Ooh, and eating dinner in the living room downstairs, and then Lucy attempting to do a cartwheel but stopping right before her hands would reach the ground and then she'd fall down in a heap. XD And then me playing the game over song from Xenosaga on the piano because I'm such a dork and the only other song I can play in completion from memory is Debussy's Dr. Gradus ad Parnassum. Heh heh.
KAY. Must read 24 pages of orgo. ;___; Make it stop.
P.S. Changed the picture, finally. It's actually from like April, but you can deal.
