Crazy College Panda

Friday, August 20, 2004

Yay, my family's flying in today. Yeeeeh, three hour drive. I'll probably just sleep the whole way.

I was comtemplating on copying my entries here to livejournal and xanga.... but that seems like too much work and I'd forget to do it at some point. So yeah. Weeeeeeee.

Must get cell phone soon! Who has Sprint?

Edit: Just realized I forgot to change the panda cam while I was at Yale. Whoops. You'll just have to wait until I get back to MHC.

Weeee, Jeff got to visit me for a couple of days and it was lots of fun. He really needed that break from his family. He's still a little anxious about college... hehe, it's cute, 'cos I was like that, too. We watched Kill Bill 2 and it was good, but geeeez, the ending was so anticlimatic. :/ Shrek 2 was freaking awesome; who can't resist a Tabby in boots who speaks Spanish?

Booo, I already miss Jeff. I'll see him again soon.

Suxors! My plan for studying/practicing Japanese over the summer has pretty much failed. I haven't done jack crap. Maybe that's what I'll work on tomorrow, since I'm back to being a bum without Jeff around.

3 weeks until skoooool. I'm excited (horseback riding!!!!1), but dreading English. :x Not one of my best strengths, but I do okay. Thank goodness my roomie can write well. =D

I GOT A B IN CALC. OMG. Thank goodness for the curve, otherwise I'd have a C. Bwa ha ha ha.

But otherwise... I haven't been saying much on here 'cos I'm just lounging around on my ass. I've organized most of my stuff for school.

I felt like venting, and I actually wrote a bunch of stuff... but I just decided to delete it all. I'm just too tired.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I feel so happy. Why?

SATAN HAS FREED ME FROM THE CLUTCHES OF HELL.

Ahhhh, 5 weeks of calculus is over! Now I just have to wait and see my C that I'm probably going to get. :/ That makes me unhappy, but oh well.

I didn't really get a feel for how Yale is like during the year, but it was pretty nice. Bode was a neato suitemate and I shall keep in touch with her because she is neato and we both think that Viggo Mortensen is ONLY hot as Aragorn. When he's himself or any other character, the hawtness just isn't there. Aragorn = :D Viggo = D: Ha ha ha.

Yes. So... umm. I'll probably be playing video games, reading manga, and drawing horribly drawn pictures in my new sketchbook I bought yesterday for the next two weeks. Hooooooray.

I want to see my Jeff. =O

I should change the panda cam pic, shouldn't I? Eh, I'll get around to it. I have crappy lighting in here, so maybe I'll find a recent digital cam pic.

Why must I have this urge to pee every couple of hours on my period? >_> It just disrupts my daily schedule that is wake up, go to class, study ass off (yet still do poorly on quizzes), surf online, attempt more studying, but failing.

Anyway, today's online distraction was ilovebees.com. I didn't even know Halo actually had a one player storyline/game until today. I just suck royally at the multiplayer game. Damn large maps!

I have recently discovered Azumanga Daioh and I <3 it. I actually saw the box set w/ the first DVD at the BX back at Ramstein, but I decided not to get it until I actually knew what it was about... which I was too lazy to do and really... it's not about anything. Anything resembling a story plot anyway. Just the comedic interactions of these high school girls and their teachers. FREAKING AWESOME. And Kamineko! I want it. =D

Everyone should download Rex Navarrete's stand up comedy routine of SBC Packers. You don't have to know Tagalog, just understand the accent that Filipinos have when they speak English. (And there's an actual company that uses the acronym SBC... Ahhh, so amusing.) His little bit on techno is also amusing if you can find it, too.

I know getting a C (or worse, goodness I hope it isn't lower than a C) in calculus is not the end of the world, and I will probably use less than 10% of it in my future occupation, but dagnabit it's driving me nuts. And I can't find my motivation to study anymore. I think it's too early for me to start, because I usually start cramming two days before.

Not having air conditioning is also leaving me feeling unmotivated. My fan is on 24/7 and I open the window during the day and it's still just *hot.* And makes me sleepy, too. :/

Jeff is now only 310 miles away instead of 4,000 miles. W00t! Soooooon, so very sooon, that number will be 54 miles and an hour and 15 minutes. >:D

Man, periods bite. But at least I have cookies to make me feel better. =D (And on a random note, Lucy can feel when she's ovulating, and which ovary the egg comes from. That's so funky weird. >_> )

And guess what? THE QUIZ KICKED MY ASS HARD. Two sketching problems, 3 other problems, 45 minutes. No one finished, not even the smart people.

I must do well on the final, but I'm thinking it's going to kick my ass, too. (I'm fscked!)

Spent the last 2 hours not studying, but working on a new layout for the domain. Most of the crap on there is gonna be taken off, AOGS and this blog will stay. Uploading it after I finish writing this entry. I must beg for a credit card to buy stuff online and to pay for domain. But before that must get job. And before that get drivers liscense. And before or after that get car. XD Ha ha.

I should be taking drivers ed lessons next week! It's either take the usual set classes or go in on your own time. I'm opting for the latter.

Oh yeah, by now I've totally forgotten all the funny stuff Dr. Ruth said (argh, stupid memory), but I wanted to talk about abortion. She talked about that for a few minutes, nothing in depth, and also talked about homosexuality and other stuff. But basically she's all for abortion. People should know about it, and should not use it as a contraceptive.

I'm not sure how many women/couples agree to use abortion as a contraceptive, seeing as the word means "preventing conception." That means before our lovely egg meets miniscule sperm. But anywho, after thinking about it for years now, I've decided I'm pro-choice. Not pro-abortion. Pro-choice. I would like women to have the choice available to do it if they want/need to, but I hope they would think about all the options and have abortion as the last on the list. And I'm only comfortable with abortions in the first term. If you wait until the 2nd or 3rd term.. you're just lazy.

Walking around the Yale campus, I found the local Catholic church. There was a van parked in front of it, and on the side of the van it said, "You're not Catholic if you're pro-choice." Sigh. I don't know what to say about that yet.
