Weeeeee, I feel retarded after visiting my relatives in NJ because I couldn't understand them when they spoke in Tagalog. Maybe I'm just used to my mum and dad... but yeah. Along with Japanese I'm going to try and randomly flip through my nifty Tagalog/English dictionary and read random entries so I can get used to speaking it. I can translate pretty easily from Tagalog to English but it's really hard the other way around. Except for stuff like, SLEEP NOW, or turn off the lights, ha ha ha ha. I am amused by it, too. Patay ng ilaw. Literally kill the light. HA HA HA HA. Probably because they used candles way back then and you can't really switch those off. Hehhehee.
